Apply every action to exactly the right datasets.
Go beyond dataset type. Target actions by nickname, name, description, period of record, timestep, column count and detailed measurement-height criteria.
Introducing Windographer 6.2
Build more representative long-term references, test vertical extrapolation before creating sensors and apply automated tasks with greater precision.
Designed around the analyst
Windographer 6.2 brings new tools for long-term reference design, vertical extrapolation validation and targeted automation into the same familiar environment.
01
Composite Reference Time-series
No single reference dataset represents every site equally well. Blend complementary, site-representative references to balance source-specific biases and create a more robust long-term signal.
Choose how each reference contributes: equal weights, distance from the site, quality against onsite measurements, statistical optimization or expert-defined weights. Quality weighting can consider R², RMSE and bias, including seasonal and directional performance.
02
Extrapolation Test Results
Compare a proposed extrapolated series against measurements from another height or a nearby remote-sensing device. Review the statistical results, refine the configuration and repeat the test before generating new sensors.
03
Workflow improvements
Apply each automated action only where it belongs, synchronize targeted datasets and keep recurring reports current.

Go beyond dataset type. Target actions by nickname, name, description, period of record, timestep, column count and detailed measurement-height criteria.

Use the first dataset in the Windog file as the reference, identify the shift providing the strongest correlation and apply the recommended correction.

Choose Last Month or Last Complete Calendar Month to keep Workflow-generated recurring reports current without manually updating dates.
Representative
Build the reference strategy around the site.
Validated
Test settings before creating results.
Targeted
Automate with precise dataset conditions.
